Synopsis[]

Spencer humiliates Lolo and finds himself the new king of the school, but eventually runs the risk of abusing his power.

Plot[]

In the cafeteria at Beverly Beverly High, Spencer is trying to type a script on his tablet while Billy repeatedly tells him that he won’t let anyone interrupt, not seeming to realize that he himself is becoming a distraction. Spencer finally retaliates by tying Billy’s arms in a knot around his mouth. As Lolo walks up to the school, several other students scatter flower petals on her path. She goes to sit in a special chair in the cafeteria and Buddy brings her lunch. She yells at him for putting the dressing on the salad instead of on the side and gets Adrian to knock the tray into him. Buddy apologizes and slinks away. Lolo spots Spencer typing on his tablet and grabs it away from him. He runs after her, demanding that she give it back until he smacks into Adrian.

Lolo stands on a table and holds up the tablet, announcing to the room that it’s Spencer’s new script. She reads it out in a mocking tone and everyone laughs. Spencer walks up to her and once again demands that she give it back. Lolo asks if he’ll use his special effects to stop her and Billy pops up in support of Spencer. He grabs the tablet out of Lolo’s hand and shocks everyone by appearing to make it float before putting it back in Spencer’s hand. Lolo tries to act nonchalant, but Spencer gestures to Billy to throw food all over her. She slips and falls and everyone laughs at her, causing her to become enraged as Adrian carries her out of the room.

When Spencer and Billy arrive at school the next day, they notice that the students have thrown a party for Spencer, with decorations adorned with his face, a live band, and cheerleaders cheering in his name. As Spencer gazes in confusion, Billy explains to him that since he took down Lolo, he’s the new king of the school. As he walks along, multiple students come up and offer to do favors for him. Kleet then throws a football at him and asks for Spencer to throw it back. When Spencer hesitates, Billy throws it instead, knocking it into one of the sharp fenceposts and deflating it. Spencer worries that Kleet will retaliate, but Kleet only tearfully apologizes. Spencer is then carried by a crowd of students led by the cheerleaders. Lolo drives up in her golfcart, incredulous and angry. She tries to remind everyone that ‘Spencer’s a loser,” but they ignore her. Principal Ponzi comes up to her and says that he’s not happy about it either, but she’s out and Spencer is in, handing Spencer the key to the golfcart. Lolo cries out that she’ll remember everyone who betrayed her and begins taking a list of names. Meanwhile, Spencer and Billy take the golfcart for a joyride.

As Spencer walks in the building, the students treat him the way they previously treated Lolo as he goes to sit with Rajeev and Shanilla in the cafeteria. Spencer remarks how weird it is, but Billy encourages him to use his newfound power to do whatever he wants. Rajeev and Shanilla make some suggestions, but Spencer insists that they’re thinking too small. He then gets everyone onto the field to shoot his new movie with him acting as the director. Billy says that he’s proud of Spencer, but when Spencer acts dismissive towards Buddy offering him water, Billy tells him that the “king” always gets water and Spencer accepts. He tells iStevie to roll the camera and calls for action, but the students dressed as zombies fall over and he calls to cut, insisting that it was a great rehearsal. Billy insists that he get angry and yell at them, but Spencer says that that’s what Lolo would do and he doesn’t want to be like her. iStevie then notices Spencer appearing to be talking to himself.

Spencer then attempts to shoot multiple more takes, but each one keeps getting messed up by something or someone. After a while, Billy insists that he and Spencer have a talk, but Spencer dismisses him and yells at everyone that he’s trying to make a movie and insists that they get it right. When they say that they’re tired, Spencer only yells again, and then gets angry when he sits back down to find his water bottle empty. Billy looks on proudly, saying “that’s my boy.” The shoot continues late into the night and the actors begin to get tired. Talking amongst themselves, they lament that although Spencer is the new king of the school, they’re not sure how much more they can take. No one is motivated to speak up, however. Spencer then announces that the next shot is the most crucial and that there had better be no mistakes. Spencer calls for action, but then a ringtone is heard and all the actors look at their phones, making Spencer call for a cut. He looks around and notices iStevie looking guilty and demands his phone, which Spencer then throws across the field. Billy then comes up and reveals that he was the one who called Spencer. iStevie notices once again that he appears to be talking to himself as he calls out Billy for ruining his movie like the others. iStevie starts filming Spencer and broadcasts onto the jumbotron as Spencer gets a wedgie from Billy. The students then rally against Spencer and begin chasing after him. Spencer attempts to get into the golfcart, but Ponzi informs him that it’s no longer his to use as he holds up the keys. Spencer then continues running away.

As Spencer arrives at school the next day, Billy remarks that it’s very brave of Spencer to even show up to school that day. Spencer insists that he has some apologizing to do since “lost it” back at the shoot. Billy agrees with him and Spencer tries to argue that his behavior was Billy’s idea, but then drops it. The two then notice that the school is throwing the same celebration for iStevie that they previously had for him. Paula tells everyone from the stage that in iStevie’s honor, they all have to “talk beatbox.” The crowd proceeds to do so, angering Lolo. Spencer and Billy laugh along and join in as the episode ends.
